Frequently asked questions

Are my PDFs uploaded to a server?

No. Merging happens in your browser, so your documents never leave your device. That makes it a good fit for contracts, IDs and other private files.

How do I change the order of the files?

Files are merged in the order you select them. To change the order, remove a file from the list and add it again.

Is there a limit on how many files I can merge?

This site sets no limit. Because your own device does the work, very large files are limited by your device's memory.

Can I shrink the merged file afterwards?

Yes. Run it through Compress PDF. To pull pages back out, use Split PDF.

Can I make a PDF from photos first?

Yes. Image to PDF turns photos into a PDF, and you can then merge it with other PDFs here.
