Compress and download
This tool rebuilds the PDF's internal structure to shrink it — it works well on text-heavy PDFs with repeated formatting. It does not recompress embedded photos the way a dedicated tool like Ghostscript does, so heavily image-based PDFs (scanned documents, photo-filled brochures) will see a smaller reduction. A server-side option for deeper image compression is planned.

Frequently asked questions
How does this compress a PDF?
It rebuilds the PDF's internal structure, which removes overhead. It works best on text-heavy PDFs with repeated formatting.
Why didn't my PDF get much smaller?
This tool does not recompress embedded photos. Scanned documents and photo-filled brochures are mostly image data, so they shrink less. If the saving is small, the file was already compact.
Will the quality change?
The pages should look the same, because images are not recompressed.
Is my PDF uploaded?
No. Compression runs in your browser and the file stays on your device. Need to combine or cut it first? Try Merge PDF or Split PDF.
